Information we collect
- Name, phone number, optional email, timezone, and account credentials.
- Names and contact details for accepted Alert Mates and the Backstop.
- Consent, invitation, role-acceptance, and verification records.
- Check-in schedule, delivery attempts, keypad or voice response classification, and resulting status.
- Purchase references, payer email, Shop item, access period, and renewal status. Ko-fi handles payment-card details; OK Alerts does not receive the full card number.
- Technical security information needed to operate the service, such as timestamps and limited request metadata.
Information we do not ask for
Do not provide diagnoses, medication lists, medical records, insurance information, or other protected health information. OK Alerts does not need that information to provide social coordination.
OK Alerts does not use GPS tracking and does not provide a family activity dashboard.
How information is used
- Schedule and deliver check-ins.
- Classify the response selected by the recipient.
- Contact ordinary Alert Mates and, later, the Backstop according to the response policy.
- When the recipient enables Extended Powers Mode, temporarily show the Backstop routine account activity and permit account-management actions for the approved 30-day period.
- Maintain consent, account, purchase, pilot, and renewal status.
- Protect the service, investigate delivery failures, and answer support or privacy requests.
An OK response notifies nobody.
Service providers and disclosure
Telephony, email, hosting, payment, database, and automated-processing providers process limited information on our behalf to operate the service. Alert Mates receive only the information needed for the accepted response role.
Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Personal information is not sold.
Your choices
- Review or correct account information.
- Withdraw from an Alert Mate or Backstop role.
- Stop messaging through the provided opt-out command.
- Request an access copy or account deletion, subject to records we must retain for security, payment, consent, or legal obligations.
